There will be a hot time in the Old Town tonight.

by Susie-34668, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Sep 06 '02
Pros: Free entrance and parking. Not crowded.
Cons: Go on too many rides and it will get expensive.
Everyone does Disney, SeaWorld, and Universal, when they go to the Orlando area. This can be very costly, especially for a family.

Fancy a cheap few hours out, then go to Old Town in Kissimmee. You can't miss it. It has the Ferris...

Stinky, but I love it.

by madaer , Jul 24 '06
Pros: It's something to do, and there is no shortage of activity.
Cons: It's dirty, smelly, and gross.
When we go to Orlando, we frequently stay at a hotel right next to Old Town because it's clean and affordable. So, each time we stay there we walk over to Old Town and check things out. We let Marshall do a few rides, and we like to look in the shops and ...

Close to Perfecto!

by jetbluefan1 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Jul 09 '02
Pros: some exciting rides, good lighting, friendly
Cons: expensive
When driving by a well lighted area at night near Orlando, you might think you are at Old Town. That’s not what will give it away that you are at Old Town. You''ll see the human slingshot and the bungee jumping towers. Now you definitely know that...

ATT: Car Lovers, Shoppers and Families!! A MUST Visit when in Kissimmee!

by mom2girlz , Mar 13 '01
Pros: Inexpensive entertainment; kid-and pet-friendly; huge car show on Saturday nights
Cons: parking
Located just minutes from Walt Disney World, in booming Kissimmee, is a growing attraction called Old Town. When you see the big ferris wheel you know you've arrived!

What started out as a mere shopping and dining spot has grown into a major,...

Not Just An Amusement Park

by bjcuevas , Nov 27 '00
Pros: It is a very delightful atmosphere and has a variety of attractions that all can enjoy. You can spend as little or as much money as you want, everything is priced separately.
Cons: The construction is the only thing that was a negative and that will be cleared up soon.
While in Florida on vacation we saw an ad for "Old Town" and a friend recommended we visit, so we went.

I will be perfectly honest it did not look like much when we pulled into the parking lot. I was delightfully surprised. There...

A fun Saturday night; nice break from busy weekends when parks are packed on Saturday's.

by ny2orlando , Nov 26 '05
Pros: Inexpensive fun for a couple of hours, especially Saturday's when the parks are full.
Cons: Rides get expensive if kids insist - remind them they'll have plenty when visiting Disney.
We've gone to Orlando for a number of years now annually, and are always sure to make a trip to Old Town while staying at Disney, especially when we can on Saturday nights. We've found the Disney and other parks are too full on Saturday's - so we make ...

Not for Everyone

by Ellen9180 , Jul 15 '00
Pros: relatively inexpensive
Cons: Tattoo and body piercing shop
Old Town is located in Kissimmee just outside the Magic Kingdom Area. It is safe and clean but attracts young people with the local tattoo and body piercing shops. There are a couple of places to eat there. Checkers fast food, an Italian restaurant...

Fun at Old Town!

by hockeyangel , Apr 08 '08
Pros: Nice fun place to enjoy and hang out.
Cons: A little expensive if you have kids who like to ride rides and eat.
We go to Old Town every year on our way to our Disney resort. We usually stay across the street from Old Town for the night. That's another plus they have quite a few hotels for you to stay at within walking distance. The shops are great to look around ...

Old Town - not what I expected!

by CarieGal , Jun 28 '06
Pros: A relaxing day.
Cons: Not the excitement some travelers may yearn for.
Have you been wondering about those lights along 192? Seen the ferris wheel or the human slingshot? It looked exciting to me. We went there the next day. To be honest, it wasn't exciting. But it was better than that. It was relaxing. Old Town is a ...

Not impressed
by kparker3981 ,Apr 21 '05
Pros: Clean
Cons: Not enough employees
We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and we have to say that we weren't impressed. There was hardly anyone in the park at the time. We had two children with us and they wanted to ride the kiddie rides so we purchased tickets and then watched all the employees stand around and talk to each other rather than operate the rides. The person that was selling the tickets finally came out and operated one of the rides. I do have to say that the park was clean and there was someone out sweeping up the trash. It was okay for a nice stroll if you had nothing else to do, but it wouldn't be my first choice to go back to.
